Casa do Barco
Casa do Barco reminds us of our grandfather in every corner. From the works that decorate the walls to his sailing boat, which remains in the exact place where he left it the last time he sailed at sea.
Casa do Barco was designed in 1984 by the architect and artist Artur Rosa as a refuge from busy Lisbon for him and his wife, artist Helena Almeida.
Over the years, this house became a sanctuary of beloved and unique memories, a well-hidden treasure only known to the close ones. From the works that decorate the walls to his sailing boat, which remains in the exact place where he left it the last time he sailed at sea.
From quiet breakfasts on each cosy corner of the house to naps under the trees or beside the fireplace, these moments were always accompanied by an exquisite soundtrack provided by nature or our family’s records.
At Casa do Barco, days feel endless.
